ASTRAL ORACLES

Michael Thibault is pleased to present ASTRAL ORACLES, an exhibition and functioning retail pop-up shop in Beverly Grove by alchemist and artist Lazaros. During the run of the exhibition, visitors will be able to view and purchase sculptural spells created by Lazaros. Each spell is unique in its metaphysical intention and materials; with love, abundance, health, clarity, and psychic protection being just a few of the dozens of crafted vessels. In addition to the spells on-view, Lazaros will also be available to create custom personal spells for visitors based-on individual's desired manifestations.

Lazaros first began beautifully crafting jar spells in 2016 for private clients that had sought him out for spiritual assistance and guidance. Housed in various-sized glass vessels that contain suspended objects with specific alchemical functions, each spell is initiated as a way to contain a ritual or protection device that could be physically moved according to the owner's needs. Whether shown in a retail space, at one’s home, or in a gallery, each spell transcends its viewing context by having a metaphysical effect on the owner's wholeness of being.

ASTRAL ORACLES continues Lazaros' predilection for exhibiting his artwork in a variety of dynamic contexts. Earlier this year, Lazaros presented his energy centering objects at the Conscious Life Expo - the premiere New Age trade show - at the LAX Hilton. He has also conducted psychic readings and provided spiritual assistance to individuals at public gatherings.

Michael Thibault is pleased to present ASTRAL ORACLES with help from The Newsstand Project, a new public art initiative that generously provided a physical location for Lazaros to continue to redefine the intersection of art exhibition and retail experience. The Newsstand Project is situated in a defunct newspaper stand next to the King's Road Cafe @ 8361 Beverly Blvd., and will be open Friday–Sunday, 10am–2pm, from Sunday, August 5th–September 16th, 2018.
